In HP WW Enterprise Industry Marketing, we create the vision that connects HP capabilities to customer value. Job Responsibilities Include: * Create and execute the WW Transportation, Travel and Hospitality industry-focused marketing plan. * Create a compelling differentiated value proposition leveraging the power of the full HP portfolio. Demonstrate the ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into concise and compelling messages. * Create a plan to syndicate the content internally and externally * Execute Transportation Industry marketing plan working across virtual teams through cross-functional alignment and coordination. Must demonstrate ability to build relationships across organizations to harvest the collective knowledge within HP * Based on an understanding of customer/segment needs, ensure sales force is fully armed to tell the Transportation/HP story with materials, messages. Provide technical and business assistance for targeted industry and customer segments. * Create positioning, messaging, sales support and solution content within a customer segment or industry context * Identify/develop innovative/ breakthrough program deliverables, metrics/benchmarks * Identify/align cross-functional and/or cross-organizational teams as needed to plan and execute near-term Go to Market (GTM) plans and budgets * Set overall strategic and tactical direction for marketing programs that drive segment growth, generate revenue and increase share NOTE: This is a pipeline requisition. Education and Experience Required: * Business Administration (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field; Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred * 7 years marketing experience within Transportation, Travel and Hospitality Industry and Information technology. * Transportation, Travel and Hospitality Industry marketing, sales and/or channel experience. Knowledge and Skills Required: * In-depth knowledge of the Transportation, Travel and Hospitality industry segments, offerings/strategy and demand generation programs * Experience in Journalism, investigative reporting in Transportation, Travel and Hospitality and Information Technology Industries. * Expert knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools * Experience in developing and driving consistent field adoption of industry/segment messages * Experience in Customer-facing roles * Working across Org lines in a large complex organization like HP * Experience working in Global Teams * Familiarity with and/or experience in partner marketing * Excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills * Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build and manage virtual teams * Excellent negotiating skills * Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines * Excellent influencing and consensus-building skills Critical Competencies to Drive Business Results: Relationship Marketing Fosters relationships directly with selected customers to maximize the value they contribute Customer-Specific Propositions Uses insight to develop custom product and service propositions for key segments ROI Tracking & Reporting Establishes initiative-related metrics and measurement strategies to track Return on Investment (ROI) and measurably validate the success of marketing programs and use of Marketing Development Funds (MDF) resources Marketing Basics Understands and appropriately applies key marketing fundamental concepts, processes and practices related to manipulate customer demand and motivate channels.
