Working in a team, a Technical Support Engineer is expected to take ownership of problems encountered by our Customers and see them through to resolution, bringing in any additional resources/expertise required to achieve total customer satisfaction in the shortest timeframe possible. Problems can range from simple user error through to the highly complex and technically challenging issues. Position Responsibilities: · Provides front-line support to our world-wide customer-base · Collaborative interaction between Support and Engineering to address product issues and feature requests · Active contribution to the shared Knowledge Base
Education and Experience Required:
For a Technical Support Engineer role with ArcSight we typically look for: · a degree qualification in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience) with an additional 2 years in industry · existing experience of providing customer support in a technically challenging software environment where Oracle has been the database engine · a background in security software solutions/network environments incorporating experience of Unix and/or Linux · highly developed trouble-shooting skill-set Desired Experience: · Certification in Cisco, Check Point, Microsoft, Red Hat Linux or Sun Solaris advantageous
