The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for project managing a delivery focused organization to drive quality in our IT environment and infrastructure initiatives. Their role is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget, this includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants. They will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout life nning project activities, ensuring timely, cost effective initiatives are delivered at the highest level of quality, resulting in a successful implementation. This manager should foster an environment of collaboration among teams and provide day-to-day direction with the ultimate objective of proactively maintaining a high level of user satisfaction throughout the project.
• 2+ Years project management and leadership experience in a technical environment • Demonstrated experience developing and managing software development project plans • Demonstrated experience with software development lifecycle methodologies • Demonstrated experience with iterative software development methodologies • Proven experience in object oriented analysis and design leading to deployed production systems • Proven experience with system analysis and design, construction, and testing • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills to achieve business results • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays • Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as a leader of a high performing development team; providing timely coaching and mentoring, on-boarding and training, technical work reviews, recognizing Cast, and team building
• Minimum of 5 years technical project management experience • Demonstrated experience with project scheduling using Microsoft Project • Demonstrated ability to manage a Tier 1 environment including: utilization and performance monitoring, capturing and communicating metrics, maintaining technical currency, defining and managing to SLAs, and procuring hardware and software • Proven ability to manage high severity incidents including; leading team to triage and resolve issues in a timely manner and communicating status to peers, business partners, and executives • Proven experience in a Data Warehouse environment, knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts • Experience with Business Objects and knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts • Proven experience with software troubleshooting techniques • Proven experience in a Java/J2EE environment • Experience with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts policies and procedures • Experience with Vendor Management, SOW creation and execution • Experience with Financial Analysis • SDLC familiarity Bachelor's degreein related field or equivalent
