Sr. Customer Service Representative

  • Responds to telephone inquiries and orders from home care patients and referral sources.
  • Provides information on equipment, supplies and services.
  • Usually handles the most complex telephone orders from patients and referral sources.
  • Assists walk-in patients with the selection of equipment, supplies and services.
  • Coordinates the delivery, set-up and pick-up of equipment, supplies and services with appropriate personnel.
  • Ensures deliveries and set-ups can be arranged in a timely manner.
  • Processes telephone orders by preparing patient paperwork. In Level 1 and 2 branches, confirms insurance and/or other method of payment and obtains authorization.
  • Ensures all necessary paperwork is processed in an accurate manner to facilitate data entry, billing and delivery of the order placed following Apria's policies and procedures and ""best practices"".
  • Performs data entry. Within infusion branches, may be responsible for contacting patients for refills and monitoring patient supply levels.
  • Accurately maintains files of all patient account profile information and referral source data.
  • Complies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and ""best practices"".
  • Coaches and organizes work assignments.
  • Ensures work is performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assists less experienced customer service representatives.
  • Resolves patient complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
  • At least three years related experience is required.
  • Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Customer Service Certification Program.
