Responds to telephone inquiries and orders from home care patients and referral sources.
Provides information on equipment, supplies and services.
Usually handles the most complex telephone orders from patients and referral sources.
Assists walk-in patients with the selection of equipment, supplies and services.
Coordinates the delivery, set-up and pick-up of equipment, supplies and services with appropriate personnel.
Ensures deliveries and set-ups can be arranged in a timely manner.
Processes telephone orders by preparing patient paperwork. In Level 1 and 2 branches, confirms insurance and/or other method of payment and obtains authorization.
Ensures all necessary paperwork is processed in an accurate manner to facilitate data entry, billing and delivery of the order placed following Apria's policies and procedures and ""best practices"".
Performs data entry. Within infusion branches, may be responsible for contacting patients for refills and monitoring patient supply levels.
Accurately maintains files of all patient account profile information and referral source data.
Complies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and ""best practices"".
Coaches and organizes work assignments.
Ensures work is performed accurately and efficiently.
Assists less experienced customer service representatives.
Resolves patient complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action.
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
At least three years related experience is required.
Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Customer Service Certification Program.
