ACS provides healthcare organizations assistance with large-volume accounts receivables (A/R) reduction projects, A/R conversion projects, full business office outsourcing, ongoing self-pay and insurance-extended business office projects, and bad debt projects. We are one of the nation's largest organizations specializing in outsourced healthcare A/R management, and we manage one of the largest acute care self-pay A/R processing centers in the United States.

Our Houston, TX, office has an opportunity for an Outbound Customer Care Specialist with the following preferred qualifications:

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

- Healthcare background at a Health Plan (claims processing or customer service), a Hospital or Physician Office (coding, billing, verification, etc.).

- Medical Terminology training.

- Debt collections experience.

- Customer Service in a call center environment.

- Prior Supervisory experience of 8-10 employees preferred.

Duties:

- Using a computerized system, responds to customer inquiries in a call center environment.

- Responds to telephone inquiries and complaints using standard scripts and procedures.

- Gathers information, researches/resolves inquiries and logs customer calls.

- Communicates appropriate options for resolution in a timely manner.

- Provide functional medical account expertise to clients and increase base collections.

- Informs customers about services available and assesses customer needs.

- Schedules work to ensures accurate phone coverage; monitors priority of calls and shifts escalated calls to assure resolution to problems.

- Prepares standard reports to track workload, response time and quality of input.

- Assists in implementing department goals and makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Responsible for the timely reporting, escalation and resolution of day-to-day operational problems, account resolution and collections.

- Coordinates Call Center Operations service delivery activities with assigned internal clients.

- Develops and maintains quantitative measures and performance metrics.

- All other duties as assigned.
