Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a skilled Program Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The candidate will direct all phases of DHS Programs from inception through completion. The PM will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Responsibilities will include: participation in the negotiation of contract and contract changes, coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of the contract. This individual will act as the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Other duties will include: establishing design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and testing. A key function of the role will be to develop new business or expand the product line with the customer. The PM will establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules and will identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directing the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas is necessary.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in a related field along with at least 12 years experience in a technical management, engineering management, and/or project management discipline. The applicant must have an advanced level of understanding in software engineering. The qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite and possess excellent communication skills. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible for security clearance (Secret or higher preferred). Current DHS Clearance required.
