Manager of Enterprise Data Architecture
The Manager of Enterprise Data Architecture will work closely with IT leadership to create long-term strategic vision for data management at Dish Network. Candidate should possess a strong background in leading data management groups and establishing procedures to leverage data assets for large organizations, including all aspects of data architecture. Enhancing or establishing, as appropriate, data governance and master data management standards that align with the business needs and ensuring they are consistently adhered to. The Data Architecture team will assist the business with gathering, organizing, and presenting enterprise data aligned with business objectives. This position requires building strong relationships across IT and other departments, establishing best practices and driving toward business goals. The Manager of Enterprise Data Architecture will coordinate management of data assets for optimal integration and scalability working with Application Architecture and Development teams to ensure timely delivery, consistent availability, and future growth of the Dish applications/systems.
- Manage and develop a team of Data Architects and other technical resources responsible for delivery and support of Enterprise Data Models and Master Data Management standards and processes
- Ensure consistent design methodology
- Ensure system design and data are globally consistent
- Align functional requirements with business objectives
- Enable consolidated and consistent analytics
- Coordinate modeling and information management to attain performance goals
- Develop and ensures compliance with modeling, governance and master data management standards
- Assess the value of emerging technologies
- Develop strategies and road maps for data management
- Facilitate business and systems decisions
- Support the implementation of enterprise programs to enable business growth and strategic goals
- Articulate IT capabilities, problem statements and gaps to appropriate audiences
- Identify and qualifies opportunities to improve data management and quality
- Mentor others, shares knowledge and experiences
- Influence vendor roadmaps and direction of vendor products
- Provide strategic input on long term infrastructure requirements
Bachelor?s Degree required
A minimum of 15 years of IT experience, with 8 years in Data Architecture or Data Management role and at least 5 years in a leadership position
