Overview:
The Cosmetic Counter Manager is responsible for supervising the complete operation of the cosmetics line to ensure a high level of productivity and customer satisfaction through extensive product knowledge and outstanding customer service.
This Macy's location utilizes an innovative way of planning work schedules, allowing an associate to participate more in managing availability and setting preferences for work times. This enables our associates to address their need for flexibility in meeting both personal and work obligations. Details on My Schedule Plus are available during the interview process.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead by example to create a positive selling environment through teamwork, to enable the counter to meet or exceed sales and loyalty expectations
Sell merchandise through effective customer service techniques and professional selling skills to reach personal productivity goals
Recruit, train, coach, motivate and develop new and incumbent associates on company policies and procedures, product knowledge, and personal and department productivity goals
Review and analyze business performance of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual sales results
Review advertising calendar and ensure proper execution of events
Ensure timely processing of new receipts, damages, testers, and return to vendors through delegation to self and staff
Attend and actively participate in Counter Manager meetings and Vendor Seminars to maintain highest level of product knowledge
Supervise proper presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock
Excellent management and organizational skills - ability to maximize business-driving opportunities through effective management and execution of events and promotions

Ability to train, coach, and develop a team of associates
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
