Position Summary: The Role: A JBoss Technical Support Engineer with Red Hat collaborates with worldwide support team and develop engineers on a daily basis to deliver professional technical support services to Red Hat customers.
Primary Responsibilities: - Proactively supporting customers through phone and Web Portal - Owning and resolving problems and managing customer expectations throughout the service request lifecycle in accordance with Red Hat Service Level Agreement. - Proactively collaborate with Global Support Services team and contribute to world wide support services. - Adopting and contributing to new products, processes and tools - Contributing to creating and maintaining knowledge content - Demonstrate contribution to GSS strategic projects and initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience: - In-depth knowledge of the JVM. - 2+ years of professional experience in application and middleware (Jboss, Weblogic, Websphere, Tomcat, Apache) - Deep understanding on Java/JEE technologies and products (JMS, Web Services, Servlets/JSP, EJB, JDBC, Hibernate) - Proven ability and willingness to learn new open source middleware technologies - Strong customer service skills - Demonstrated efficient problem solving and analytical skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as well as in Mandarin - Preference for working in a global cooperative team environment
