Job Profile Management and Leadership on the delivery of major projects to meet defined customer objectives using a variety of procurement and contract forms for new build and remodelling/refurbishment. To assist the Projects Director in business management, closing sales, the establishment and subsequent management of a cost consultancy team.
Job Description .Management of a Cost Consultancy team
.Act as the Project Leader in the context of the company business management system
.Carry out contract reviews relating to the contract with the customer
.Preparation of monthly management reports/liaison with sub-divisional manager
.Securing new and repeat business in line with the sub-divisional budget
.Ensure compliance with QES system and Group/Unit directives
.Preparation of estimates and cost plans either high level, approximate or detailed
.Provision of construction economics advice to customers including the impact of inflation
.Advise on procurement and contract strategy
.Assist in the development of programmes
.Preparation of standard documentation - reports, valuations, letters, financial statements etc
.Preparation of tender documents as required by procurement choice (including BoQ's)
.The analysis of tenders and preparing tender reports at all stages of procurement
.Prepare valuations and financial statements
.Re-measure as necessary and adjust variations
.Assist in the settlement of construction disputes
.Prepare and agree final account
.Produce financial report for post contract review
.Attendance at design team and progress meetings as necessary
.Contract administration (EA role)
.Other duties as may reasonably be required
