Department: Pearle Vision Franchise Operations Title: Franchise Development Manager (FDM) Reports to: Director of Franchise Development General Function: Award franchise agreements to qualified candidates as well as qualified existing franchisees. As the primary support to the Director of Franchise Development, the individual in this role will maintain and develop partnerships with existing Franchisees, Pearle Vision team members, field, Corporate Operations Services, cross-brand partners and CSC representatives to support initiatives and develop strategies for the Franchise Business and Pearle Vision overall. The FDM will partner in expanding and developing the Franchise Business by cultivating leads, prospecting for candidates, identifying and qualifying partners for franchise growth within key markets. Major Duties and Responsibilities: •Award franchise agreements to qualified candidates based upon criteria established by management. •Accountable for the timely response to new candidate leads •Identify essential criteria for effective franchisees based upon each market’s requirements. Perform due diligence on potential franchisees to ensure their capability of investment and providing results as per contractual agreements and Pearle Vision expectations. •Serve as first line of contact for potential franchisees in the process of lead generation, recruiting, screening, and awarding new franchise agreements. Meets with candidates and manages the relationship and the process of becoming approved as a PV Franchisee, reviews business plans and other related items. •Provides recommendation of approval or denial of candidates to Director of Franchise Development. •Act as principal liaison between development and Operations, Real Estate, Marketing, Merchandising and key Shared Service Departments that are vital to maintaining timely connections, alignment on business initiatives, and accurate documentation of support to the Franchise Development team. •Provides support and identifies trade areas/real estate opportunities relative to potential store location for candidate. •problem solving to resolve identified issues while conveying and interpreting the company’s core values and policies in a positive manner. Ensures issues pertaining to franchisees are managed and resolved without escalation to higher-level management. Incorporates honesty, transparency, original thinking and •Recommends to management long-term solutions affecting the overall business direction. •Responsible for sourcing candidate leads and the on-going development of a candidate pipeline so that goals and objectives are achieved. •Bachelors degree or equivalent experienceDevelops and maintains a working knowledge of Pearle Vision store operations and execution via constant alignment with field operation team members.
Experience: •7+ years of franchise development/sales experience •Franchise operations experience/knowledge is preferred •5+ years leadership experience with a Franchisor or Franchisee •Multi-unit franchise supervisory experience preferred •5+ years project management/franchise experience •Knowledge of the Retail Industry and/or Optical Industry is preferred Job Requirements :
