Creates, generates and distributes statements of medical necessity (SMN's) for patients, obtains signatures from physicians for claim submission.
Assembles and maintains patient charts to file appropriate documentation, including SMN's, AOB's (patient agreements), POT's and prescriptions.
Maintains a tickler systems for all forms required for billing function.
Tracks missing forms via phone, computer and manual logs and computer generated tracking reports. Contacts appropriate branch personnel if problems occur.
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
At least one year related experience, with previous customer service and/or some experience with computers is preferred.
