Enterprise Sales Director

  • Product/Service sold:
    • Enterprise level software solutions, built around Port Vision’s current maritime cloud-based business intelligence applications.
    • Optimize all aspects of terminal and fleet operations, including automation of scheduling, communication, and demurrage.
    • Result is much higher visibility around own and 3rd party assets, employee, counterparty, and customer activities - ultimately creating significant operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years involvement with O&G, Logistics, Shipping and/or Maritime industries.
    • Minimum 5 years success with Enterprise Level software sales with average deal size above $100k. Demonstrated capability to close deals in large enterprises with deal size above $500k.
  • Capabilities:
    • Solutions orientation and acumen. Sales 2.0 experience (solve problems vs. selling, analytical sales approach, productive integration with lead generation).
    • Capable of surfacing and clarifying prospect pain points, gaining insight into their organization and decision making process through traditional and social media tools, and identifying the Portvision product and/or custom solution which will solve their problems.
    • Ability to work in a small and agile company. Candidate has a team-oriented “getting things done” attitude with contagious passion and energy.
    • Ability to define and write a compelling proposal for that solution.
    • Solid business and technical skills to interface with customer and other PortVision team members effectively.
    • Documented success in gaining net new clients as well as growth through strategic account management.
    • Closer.
  • Prospecting expectations:
    • Strong existing network that would provide immediate initial access to terminal, logistics, and other maritime transportation related prospects, both at the terminal and corporate levels.
    • Willingness to aggressively prospect and create new opportunities – there will be generated leads but candidate must be comfortable with individual outbound efforts (telemarketing, email, and tradeshows) as well as required.
  • Location:
    • Gulf of Mexico focused sales, potentially handling inbound/referrals/add-on sales in other regions.
    • Houston based, open to remote location in the Gulf of Mexico area for the right candidate.
  • Compensation:
    • Base: 80K – 100K.
    • Incentive: New and renewal commission expected to be 2x base.
  • Reports to VP of Sales
