Engineer Test 2/Analyst - Testing
Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking an experienced Software Analyst/Tester to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The position will be located in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate should be able lead and participate in all aspects of the software testing development life cycle (SDLC) activities for an enterprise level web-based application. The candidate should have experience and be able to demonstrate industry standard ""best practices"" as pertinent to software development, e.g. software engineering methodologies, unit testing, and design patterns.
The qualified applicant must have knowledge and experience working with and supporting the development of an overall Test Plan and tailored test plans for each release. Develops test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements. Many requirements will be technical in nature such as EAI, authentication services, etc. Executes test scripts to during internal system testing. Works with representatives from interfacing systems during EAI testing and testing of shared services. Documents test issues and works with development team to validate/recreate. Performs retesting and regression testing. Documents test results for incorporation into the Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrix. Skilled in the use of ITKO LISA for testing. Provides support to Client testers during acceptance testing, including walking them through test scripts, helping them to document test issues and test results, and answering questions on system functionality.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors in Science (Master's preferred) along with at least 3 years experience in a Software Analyst/Tester discipline. The qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft software development environment and possess excellent communication skills. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen and Secret Clearance Required. The position may require some travel.
