Engineer Aircraft Support 2
Responsible for the maintenance of the Bat unmanned aircraft. Plan and execute operations/tests in accordance with DoD, FAA and ICAO procedures, and prepares flight operations/test documentation. Coordinate and assist in the execution of ground and flight operations/test events. Tests aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability. Crew Chief for demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.
Position will require CONUS/OCONUS deployments for a period up to 6 months, as required. US Secret security clearance required.
Plans, coordinates, directs, and/or performs engineering assignments involving specifications for, and design changes or alterations to, aircraft, engines, systems, components, and field or shop equipment; investigates and analyzes project requirements and operating problems and develops recommended solutions to meet company governmental safety and performance standards including Minimum Equipment List (MEL); evaluates, selects, applies, and/or adapts engineering modifications; designs or recommends new or modified parts and components; analyzes reparability of parts and components; evaluates operating data on parts, components, and systems to establish causes and to determine remedies for wear, malfunctions, or premature removals; analyzes and evaluates aircraft and associated equipment proposals; prepares technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required publications.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors in Science; plus 2 years as an aircraft mechanic with 2 years UAS/RPA experience minimum.
Professional at all times.
Preferred Qualifications: A&P with 3 years UAS/RPA experience. UAS Flight test and deployment experience desired. DoD Secret Clearance MINIMUM; Rail launch, net recovery UAS experience highly desired.
