EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

IPS has an opportunity for an experienced Employee Benefits Account Executive. In this position you will manage the retention and growth of an assigned block of small and large group and life accounts. They are known for hiring motivated, self-directed individuals with a passion for service and for offering excellent benefits, incentives and associate recognition.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage new client implementation and maintain relationship by understanding clients’ business needs, attending enrollment meetings, handling correspondence and inquiries
• Develop bid specifications, evaluate marketing results, negotiate the renewal action with carriers
• Assist in the training and support of department personal
• Complete special projects such as analysis of the entertainment industry, the insurance marketplace and more




Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

• Familiarity with carriers, their products and their underwriting guidelines
• Valid Life and Disability license from the California Department of Insurance
• Five to seven years insurance brokerage experience
• Technical knowledge of benefit industry including contract provisions, renewal and claims processing, employee benefit plans and carriers
• Underwriting experience a plus
• Professional demeanor and strong customer relations skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and work in a team environment
