LUA provides property and casualty insurance inherent to the lumber and forest products industry in addition to other preferred risks, as well as workers’ compensation, predominately for Professional Employer Organizations.

Job Description


 


The Workers Compensation CSR will support the entire claims department operations by answering inquires, preparing correspondence, and generally assisting the claims department with special projects. Additionally the Lost - Time CSR will be responsible for entering in our in-house computer system as well as verifying information.

  • Receives inquires from claimants, medical providers, regarding cases of injured workers, by phone, mail and email
  • Process incoming mail and faxes
  • Complete special projects
  • Pay indemnity benefits, provider billings and expenses on the claims.
  • Prepare billings and medical records for review
  • Complete state reports, benefit notices, and other correspondence as needed
  • Provides updates to interested parties based on information contained in the file
  • Documents claims files pursuant to Best Practices.
  • Ensure payments or other appropriate actions are in accordance with jurisdictional requirements


 


Our ideal candidate will preferably have working experience in a claims department.  Additionally will have worked with claimants and claims automated system.  



  • We are seeking a motivated, organized self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Our ideal candidate must be in proficient in Word and Excel.
