Customer Care Specialist - IV

Coram, an Apria Healthcare Company, is a leading provider of specialty infusion and pharmacy distribution services with more than 80 branch locations and over 50 infusion suites throughout the country. Our more than 2,000 employees, including nearly 1,000 infusion nurses and pharmacists, are known in the industry for providing a high level of personalized care to thousands of home and infusion suite IV patients every day.   • Initiates the admissions process for patient referrals by collecting demographic and insurance information on patients over the phone and acting as the primary contact for new and existing accounts.
  • Investigates type and level of insurance coverage to assess patient eligibility for the program.
  • Communicates with medical professionals and insurance company personnel to expedite patient eligible into program.
  • May resolve reimbursement issues with accounts, sales force and management.
  • Completes data entry in CPRS to ensure accuracy of reporting and outcomes.
  • Investigates data entry issues to correct data warehouse reports.
  • Enters initial patient delivery ticket with appropriate billing information.
  • Monitors computerized reports to avoid delays in customer billing information.
  • Confirms with Sr. Admissions Representatives the timely resolution to un-voucherables.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
  • At least one year related experience is required.
  • Organizational, verbal, written communication skills are necessary.
  • Computer ability.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Constant talking and hearing.
  • Requires constant sitting with frequent and occasional standing.
  • Requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
