Description
* Serves as liaison between customers and various BASF functions such as Credit, Sales and Marketing. * Processes necessary transactions, credits, debits, etc. and communicates decisions and corrective actions to the customer. * Assists in the investigation of unauthorized deductions, referring results and recommended resolution to the appropriate level of supervision for approval. * Issues credits/debits related to business directed discount and rebate programs. * Responsible for the timely and accurate invoicing of marketing materials and training center classes. * Acts as interface between customers and A/R dept as needed to obtain/communicate information necessary to apply payments properly. * Monitors work queues to ensure credits/debits are processed as required. * Directly initiates necessary action required to remove any obstacles between customers' requirements and BASF's ability to satisfy them. * Performs routine tasks requiring resolution of many different, sometimes conflicting, issues. * Understands and follows defined Customer Care processes and procedures. * Receives, processes and follows up on customer complaints/non conformances. * Participates in making decisions within established guidelines in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment. * Presents relevant topics at sales or other business meetings. * Travels to customer and plant sites as required.
Shift Work: Staggered starts (i.e., 8:00AM, 8:30AM or 9:00AM) - Candidates will be assigned the start time required for coverage and with advanced notice may be reassigned as business changes dictate. Some degree of flexibility in working hours is required. Also may be handling after hours phone coverage.
This position is part of a job family and will be filled at a level commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Qualifications
Required:
. High school diploma
. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel/Word) and web-based applications
. Ability to handle multiple PC applications
. Customer focused
. Ability to work well in a team environment
Good written and verbal communicator
. Ability to set priorities and manage time in a dynamic work environment
. Good problem solving, analytical and math skills
Desired:
. Bachelors degree
BASF recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for
Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
. Knowledge and understanding of supply chain process
. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish and French is desirable.
. Knowledge of Non Conformance Management (NCM) process
