Customer Business Analyst Purpose This is a business support role responsible for generating reports analyzing monthly and quarterly customer sales, orders, pricing and backlog data for ASLS Global Customers. Reports generated should expand our understanding of global customers through effective aggregating, analyzing and communicating of customer sales data and trends. This position is a member of the Industrial Market Intelligence Team and is vital to transforming Analytical Sciences and Laboratory Sciences (ASLS) into a segment focused business. * Play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting Global Account customer data to inform business decisions. * Be involved in ongoing sales and customer data analysis profiling customers, targets and segmentation support and trend analysis. * Work with customer care, IT data warehouse team and finance to improve customer and segment order and invoice coding in to improve the accuracy of orders, sales and backlog data. * Excellent Excel, Access,SAP and Business Object skills together with strong communication skills. Able to present complex material in an easily understood manner. * Strong analytical and problem solving capability with an ability to extrapolate data trends, weaknesses and implications * Conduct market and competitor research to establish ASLS market share and trends and comparative performance. Key Responsibilities * Develops streamlined reporting of sales orders and backlog results into simple, clear reports * Develops and maintains monthly and quarterly reports for ASLS Global accounts and Segments and provide sales performance insights to guide account executives, senior management and ultimately, business decisions * Profiles global accounts sales performance to understand product, services and informatics portfolio trends and PKI business footprint. * Prepares internal and external presentations to support account growth. * Key strategic resource for segment team providing market insights and analytics to support global account * Utilizes knowledge gained to hypothesize on future trends and guide Global Account towards potential new opportunities. * Supports all ad hoc requests for customer data Qualifications and Requirements * Bachelor degree in Business with knowledge of Marketing ,finance, business statistics, information technology or accounting * Minimum 2-4 years experience in sales, marketing or customer data analysis. * Outstanding system skills with proficiency in data mining tools and methods gained in an analytical role. * Expert Excel and Power Point skills, demonstrating a high level of competency for identifying and cleaning data for robust financial analysis. Experience in SAP, Data warehouse, Diver and other ERP systems. * Ability to understand financial statements and performance trends characterize a business opportunity.
