Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as a senior technical support engineer working in the problem Management Group used by the OSD CIO Operations Division as a tier 3 escalation for troubleshooting network, systems, and applications. While providing expert level knowledge of applications, tools, and designs, plans and documents recommended solutions to improve the efficiency of the enterprise in performing daily operations. The candidate may also assist in troubleshooting of network-related problems and monitoring of the network.
The successful candidate should be knowledgable about the following network management and monitoring systems/protocols: Microsift operating systems and application, Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Systems Management Server (SMS), SNMP tools. Maintains and provides complex technical support documentation, performs testing and troubleshooting of problems escalated from tier 2.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Good work ethic, and team skills
Expertise with fault isolation, performance monitoring and reporting
Preferred Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Microsoft Certified Professional
Must obtain the following certification within 3 months of employment with CACI: Comp Tia Security+ certification
US Citizenship & Active DoD Secret security clearance, clearable to TS/SCI
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related work experience.
Desired Qualifications:
ITIL experience; preferably experience in the implementation of ITIL
