Summary
Provide

agency outreach sufficient to ensure an ongoing flow of complete
applications for suitable youth wishing to enter the Job Corps program.
Provide

admissions services.
Responsibilities
Maintain

ongoing outreach to agencies, schools, military recruiters,
and other sources of applicants.
Join

and participate in activities of local Youth Council.
Provide

Job Corps information (brochures, flyers, etc.)
to all One-Stops in area served.
Schedule

regular appointments with agencies serving youth.
Establish

contact with agencies in One-Stops in area served,
presenting Job Corps program.
Provide

information on Job Corps to interested youth and agencies.
Screen

youth for entry into Job Corps according to procedures and
criteria contained in the PRH and as trained by Project Director and

Corporate staff.
Assist

applicants in developing a career and employability plan
utilizing the electronic Personal Career Development Plan (ePCDP).
Obtain

any additional information necessary to evaluate eligibility,
complete applications accurately, and submit to Project Director.
Notify

youth of acceptance and assignment.
Assist

youth with departure to Job Corps Centers.
File

weekly/monthly outreach & achievement reports with Project
Director or OA Manager.
Counsel

inappropriate or ineligible youth regarding alternative
programs and agencies and make referrals.
Maintain

a resource file for recruitment/outreach and referral purposes.
Provide

ongoing outreach and updating of all resource files.
Other

duties as described by the Project Director or Corporate office.
Qualifications
A

Bachelor s degree in social science, or an equivalent period of social
service experience.
Work

experience must be in actual successful youth work in the recent
past.
Extensive

experience and demonstrated high levels of performance
may be substituted for educational requirements with the approval of the

President, DJI Education & Training Group.
Must

have above average proficiency in computer operation and MS
Office software operation skills, including word processing, development

of spreadsheets and operation of databases.
Requires

a valid driver license, a reliable personal vehicle,
and proof of liability insurance.
